Brother admits killing actress

The brother of former EastEnders actress Gemma McCluskie, found dead in a canal, now accepts responsibility for killing her, the Old Bailey has heard.
Tony McCluskie, 35, will now face trial on the issue of whether her death was murder or manslaughter, a judge said.
McCluskie, who lived in Peter Street, Hackney, east London, with his 29-year-old sister, was due to face trial next month.
But the trial has now been moved to January 14 next year, following the discovery of Gemma's head in the Regent's Canal near her home on September 9.

McCluskie, who appeared by videolink, was remanded in custody at the Old Bailey.
Gemma's headless and limbless body was discovered floating in the canal in March.
She had been missing for a week after attending the £650 million opening of the new Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, east London.

The actress played Kerry Skinner in the BBC soap in 2001.
Friends launched extensive searches across east London in a bid to find her and former EastEnders co-stars Natalie Cassidy and Brooke Kinsella both appealed on Twitter for help.

102-Year-Old Gets A Full-Ride Scholarship To The University Of Michigan

102-year-old Margaret Dunning is going back to finish her degree at the University of Michigan after 80 years in the real world, and she's getting a full scholarship to do it.
During the Great Depression, Dunning had to drop out of U of M to work for her mother – and she never ended up going back.

After Dunning was featured in a TODAY.com article for her passion about cars, auto products manufacturer The FRAM Group decided to honor her with a scholarship and send her back to get her degree.
NBC's Today Show has the story:
Still, the idea of returning to school after all these decades has filled Dunning with a rush of excitement. She said she figures she has about a year to go before completing her degree, and she’s already plotting out her commute to the university campus in Ann Arbor.

“I’ll have to figure out just what I’ll study, but it will be in business, though — I know that,” she said. “I’m still running a business right now. ... It’s a trust fund.”
“I’m very, very pleased about it,” she said. “I feel that I’ve been granted a few years that other people do not have, and I am really very happy that I have this beautiful old world to live in.”

Beyoncé Is Not Pregnant –Jay-Z

Is Blue Ivy going to be a big sister some day? Maybe – but not anytime soon.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z's little girl, who was born Jan. 7, is going to have to wait to welcome a sibling.
Jay-Z, whose 40/40 Club hosted the NBA 2K13 release in New York City Wednesday night, told E! Online that his wife is not expecting a baby. "Not tonight," he said, "not in nine months – absolutely not."

And just in case there were any further doubts, the rapper added, "Not in one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight or nine months."
Maybe one day when Blue herself can count that high!

Sons of Anarchy Actor Johnny Lewis Kills Woman, Dies in a Fall: Cops

Sons of Anarchy actor Johnny Lewis fell to his death from a building in Los Angeles – moments after he allegedly beat his landlady, an 81-year-old woman, to death, authorities say.
Lewis, 28, who played Kip "Half-Sack" Epps on the FX show and who once dated Katy Perry, was found lying in a driveway in the Los Feliz neighborhood near Hollywood on Wednesday, while a woman identified as Catherine Davis was found dead of apparently blunt force trauma inside the building.
The upstairs part of the building had been ransacked. Police also found the body of a cat that had apparently been beaten.
"It’s a terrible tragedy as far as we’re concerned and were digging into the bottom of it," LAPD spokesman Andrew Smith tells PEOPLE.

Officers responding to a 911 call of a woman screaming were told that Lewis had fought with two men – it wasn't clear if this was before or after the landlady was killed – and that Lewis died after a fall, possibly from a wall or balcony, according to police.
Detectives have concluded that Lewis killed Davis, and they are not looking for any other suspects, says Smith. There was no immediate indication of what the motive for the murder was.
"It was a tragic end for an extremely talented guy, who unfortunately had lost his way. I wish I could say that I was shocked by the events last night, but I was not," Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter wrote on his website. "I am deeply sorry that an innocent life had to be thrown into his destructive path."

A source close to Lewis, however, was surprised by the tragic events.
"I'm shocked by this; he was always pretty quiet. The only times I saw him angry is with regards to his character on the show," the source tells PEOPLE. "I know at the end he got really annoyed with the story line. He felt like his character was becoming a weekly joke and he didn't like it."
Lewis, who also appeared on shows including The O.C., Criminal Minds, Bones and CSI, dated Perry in 2006.

Dancing With The Stars: First Celeb Gets The Boot

They came back for one more shot at mirrorball glory, but on Tuesday's "Dancing with the Stars: All Stars" one celebrity found themselves out of the running for the coveted prize.
Pamela Anderson and her professional partner, Tristan MacManus, became the first Season 15 couple to get the boot. (Drew Lachey and Anna Trebunskaya were also part of the Bottom 2 prior to the elimination.)
PLAY IT NOW:

"I was ready for it, for sure," Pamela told show co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet after learning the news. "We got the lowest score... But we'll keep dancing. We're gonna dance together again. It doesn't end here."
The pair had landed at the bottom of the leaderboard on Monday night with their first dance - a cha cha that earned just 17 out of 30 points.
While their score wasn't high, the judges, on Monday, told the Season 10 alum she had promise as a ballroom dancer in the All-Star competition.

"You look like a girl who go all the way, but you have to put the work," judge Bruno Tonioli said at the time. "You are a good performer, but there wasn't enough work there for me to really praise you... You're very entertaining, but you need to work harder."
It appears the actress can now put her efforts into something else - she confirmed on Tuesday's "DWTS" she is heading to Broadway.

Paris Hilton hits Hawaii with new boyfriend

What gay slur controversy? Paris Hilton looked like she didn't have a care in the earth over the weekend when she hit Maui, Hawaii, with her boyfriend, Spanish model River Viiperi. On Saturday, the new couple, who met in early September at New York Fashion Week, was spotted walking hand in hand on the beach, and later at a nearby eatery grabbing fruity cocktails. "Lovely Hawaiian dinner tonight at one of my favorite restaurants," she tweeted. "Now in bed watching Men In Black 3."

Hilton, 31, and her 21-year-old beau were back at it on Sunday, this time in a hot pink bikini. "Another day in paradise," she tweeted, along with photos of herself and Viiperi posing together on the beach. That day, the twosome also went to the movies to see "House at the End of the Street," starring Jennifer Lawrence.
On Friday, the heiress released a statement apologizing for calling gay men "disgusting" and saying most of them "probably have AIDS" during a conversation that was secretly recorded while she was riding in a NYC taxi with a gay male friend. "As anyone close to me knows, I always have been and always will be a huge supporter of the gay community," Hilton said in a statement. "I am so sorry and so upset that I caused pain to my gay friends, fans and their families with the comments heard this morning … Gay people are the strongest and most inspiring people I know."

Divorcing couple Adrienne Maloof and Paul Nassif selling mansion for $26 million

Hollywood divorces, we've got you all figured out. First comes the cordial separation announcement, then come the wild and bitter accusations as the divorce case gets going, and finally, the attempt to offload your shared multi-million-dollar home.
Steps two and three spilled into each other this week for estranged couple Adrienne Maloof, member of both the billionaire Maloof family and the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast, and her husband, plastic surgeon Paul Nasiff.
On Wednesday, the past several weeks of mudslinging continued when Maloof's lawyer claimed that Nassif had allegedly choked one of their three sons, threw another one in the corner after he misbehaved during bath time, and kicked the family dog after it had an accident in their home. Maloof ended up with custody of their three boys and a temporary restraining order against her ex.

The next day, the couple looked to liquefy one of their biggest assets — their mansion in the posh Los Angeles gated enclave of Beverly Glen — when they put the 8-bedroom, 11-bathroom mansion on the market with a hefty price tag of $26 million. And what a mansion it is. The listing agency's website states that the French Chateau-style house, designed by architect Richard Landry, is set on two acres and includes luxurious features like a tennis court, media room, wine cellar, swimming pool, and both a pool house and a guest house.

According to Zillow.com, the couple purchased the home (which was built in 2000 and has been featured prominently in the reality show) for just under $13 million in 2004, so they stand to make a pretty penny if they get close to their asking price.
All the more to pay those divorce lawyers with …

Pregnant Shakira!

Shakira's hips don't lie — she's going to be a mom!
The sexy singer ensured she and her soccer star boyfriend Gerard Pique are waiting on her blog today, and, as a result, her professional endeavors will be taking the backseat for now.

She wrote: “As some of you may know, [boyfriend] Gerard [Piqué] and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby! At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days."
“This means I will not be able to be a part of the iHeartRadio Music Festival … I’d like to thank Clear Channel and my fans for their constant love and understanding. Big kiss!” she added.

According to a Colombian publication, she's having a baby boy and is due in January. The same outlet reports that the couple has already nicknamed their unborn child Ulicito. Shakira was last seen out in public in mid-August and she hid any signs of a baby belly under her loose shirt.
In case you're wondering, Shakira could have a very big baby. Her athletic beau is 6 foot 4! She is 5 foot 2.
Shakira, 35, and Pique confirmed their relationship in March 2011. Before that, the singer dated Antonio de la Rua for 10 years. They were engaged but didn't made it down the aisle before calling it quits in January 2011.

Swapping out of a bright red cloth and into her sparkly custom stage frock, the "Fearless” songstress confidently belted out her biggest tracks at the MGM Grand Garden Arena venue.
Prior to offering up her energizing performance, Miss Swift roamed the backstage area while mingling with fellow country crooner Brad Paisley and concert closer, Pitbull.

The 22-year-old also took a moment to chat with iHeartRadio's Elvis Duran and Ellen K about her fear of slot machines, love of a screaming crowd and how she likes to relax at home.
